Hales Group Ltd are looking to recruit a Full Time Payroll Administrator to work Monday – Friday 8.30-5pm at our Central Peterborough office. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Payroll team responsible for timely, accurate processing of all aspects of the payroll administration.

The successful candidate will be joining a highly reputable and forward thinking organisation where your efforts will be recognised and rewarded.

The role will involve:

* Assisting with processing weekly payroll for Hales Group operational divisions using bespoke software.

* Assisting with the preparation and processing of branch timesheets accurately to produce the weekly payroll reports.

* Assisting with producing and checking client invoices on a weekly basis.

* Calculating and recording travel and subsistence receipts.

* Checking updating and filing all employee records.

* Assisting with all telephone enquiries.

* To undertake all other general finance office duties that may arise such as faxing, filing and archiving.

Applications are invited from individuals who have experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally within a payroll function; the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team and a flexible approach to work in order to meet urgent deadlines. We are looking for an individual who is keen to learn new skills and develop with excellent standards of accuracy and attention to detail, good IT skills including basic Excel knowledge as a minimum (ideally intermediate level) and also with an excellent telephone manner and communication skills. Experience and knowledge of the ‘People Planner’ system is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
